Sea and culture: camping for everyone on the Etruscan Coast

2 suggested campsites

Welcome to the Etruscan Coast, the wide stretch of Tuscan coast that goes from Piombino to Livorno. The name derives from the ancient Etruscans, who set up tents here from the 9th century and founded their own civilisation.

Starting from the south - from Piombino to the Gulf of Baratti - there are 30 km of beaches, cliffs, crystal clear water and natural paths. This is the perfect place to immerse yourself in history with a visit to the Archaeological Park of Baratti and Populonia.
Moving up, we find the town of San Vincenzo - known for the soft beach of the Marina di Castagneto Carducci and Rimigliano Park from which the trip to its spectacular medieval village is really worthwhile.

Campers can also find a piece of paradise further north: in the campsites of Marina di Bibbona - with its dunes, pine forests, and many paths to explore on foot and by bike; or in a campsite in Cecina, which boasts a beautiful nature reserve and a lively city centre. Continuing towards Livorno, the stretch of coast from Vada to Rosignano Solvay is famous for the white beaches, while the one between Quercianella and Antignano is full of breath-taking bays and coves.
