Some trends for camping in 2020

We have heard it repeated a little bit everywhere: the decade is over and many things have changed in this time. There have been many lists that have reminded us of the best things that have happened in the last ten years and we have also often dwelt on how much things have evolved relatively over the last ten years. The world of camping is no exception and we wanted to collect for you some of the trends that seem to be the greatest in this new year, obviously only time will tell us if we were right or not.

A look at the environment

As we have often mentioned in the past year, the future of the campsite is green. For both campers and those who love the experience in tents in the coming years we will have to take more into account the drastic reduction of fossil fuels, emissions and the use of recyclable materials. Of course, manufacturers and the increasing development of environmentally friendly solutions will be able to help: in the latest exhibitions dedicated to the world of camping, for example, motorhomes built with 70% natural or recycled materials and electric motors have been presented. Of course, many more steps forward must be taken, but from now on we can already contribute by consciously choosing to avoid the most polluting solutions. We know that some of these objects cost a little more than the average, but on the other hand, environmental protection is priceless.

Zero mileage holidays

Okay, actually not exactly zero miles because we don't all live in places where you can camp. By the title, however, we mean the tendency to choose more and more places not too far from where you live, both to spend less and to reach them polluting as little as possible, perhaps by train (reconnecting to the previous paragraph). We are obviously not denying the beauty of exotic places or urging you to give up the holiday on the other side of the Ocean that you have been planning for so long: ours is just a suggestion to evaluate among the possible destinations even among the closest ones. Think about the beauty of the Alps or the blue sea of Puglia and Calabria and how many beautiful landscapes you could see while visiting Tuscany and Umbria. And we have taken into consideration only a few examples. Sometimes you don't go too far, you don't lose anything and you earn a lot.

Urban Camping

This probably sounds bordering on legality, but it is actually a practice that has become quite common, especially in northern Europe: the owners of a garden or small plot of land allow campers to pitch their tents there. This way you can spend the night in or around the city and it is a very cheap way to travel, share and make liveable urban green spaces too often forgotten in the middle of concrete.
